Need Something To Do Saturday?

Posted By on Sat, Apr 16, 2011 at 6:00 AM

Cowbooyy taaake me aaaaway ... Oops. That’s the Dixie Chicks.

We mean to be talking about The Pixie Chicks here, a group who recently released a collection of poems, essays, short stories and recipes in a book called The Eclectic Collage. More than two dozen writers contributed to the book, published by Boise’s Freundship Press.

The Pixie Chicks are a group of women writers who have a common goal of “positively influencing lives through friendship, communication and education,” according to some of the members’ websites.

The book can be found locally at Rediscovered Book Shop, Boise State and Moxie Java and More on Overland Road, as well as online. Or you can head to Rembrandt’s Coffee Shop in Eagle between 9:30 a.m and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, to meet some of the authors, pick up a copy of the book and get it signed.
