Here's a sign of the season: The annual Idaho Whitewater Association used-equipment sale will fill the parking lot of Idaho River Sports on Saturday, April 23.

That's right. Tomorrow is your one-day-only chance to pick up some used river gear at great prices while helping support IWA, a non-profit organization. And if you have a garage full of gear that's doing nothing more than gathering dust, you can see if you can sell it—and make some room for new stuff.

Anyone who wants to sell gear—rafting, kayaking, etc.—can drop it off at Idaho River Sports at 3100 W. Pleasanton Ave. between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. today or from 7 p.m. to 8:45 a.m. on Saturday. The sale begins promptly at 9 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m.

But if you want to get your pick of the best gear, you'd better get there early. River lovers start lining up around 7 a.m. to get the pick of the bunch and nearly 1,000 people usually turn up for the annual event.

For more info, call Idaho River Sports at 208-336-4844 or visit idahowhitewater.net.
