A.L.P.H.A. Kicks Off New Store With a Clothing Swap

To stock the shelves of its new used-clothing store, Allies Linked for the Prevention of HIV and AIDS is hosting a clothing swap party on Thursday, May 19.

The community is invited to bring down any items they want to trade or donate to the A.L.P.H.A. offices at 213 N. 10th St. from 7-9 p.m. Not only is this a chance to do a little spring closet purging, but swappers can also walk away with a new, free wardrobe. It works like this:

“The more you bring, the more you can trade (i.e., if you bring 15 items, you can take up to 15 items home, if you so choose).”

Items not taken home will become inventory at the new Exposure A.L.P.H.A. Interchange. Donations are tax deductible and all sales at the store will help fund A.L.P.H.A.’s efforts to engage the Treasure Valley community in HIV and AIDS awareness and prevention.
