Black Lips, Cerebral Ballzy and Teens to rock the Knitting Factory

Rock 'n' roll will rule the Knitting Factory on Friday, June 17, when Cerebral Ballzy and local band Teens open for The Black Lips.

The debut video for New York-based Cerebral Ballzy's “Drug Myself Dumb” was released on June 6 and shows the suit-clad band of bandits wreaking havoc across Sin City after literally drugging themselves dumb. This minute-and-a-half rock nugget isn’t music your mom would want you listening to—they take their cues from bands like Minor Threat and other early punkers.

While the name Cerebral Ballzy leaves something to be desired, it does precisely what the band wants it to do. And with songs like “Puke Song,” “Skate All Day” and “Underage Drink Forever, ” it's clear they've come to drink, rock out and try to piss somebody off—and have a blast doing it.
