If you want to get on the river this summer but don't know which sport is right for you, the Idaho Canoe and Kayak Club—in conjunction with Idaho River Sports—is offering ways to learn a new water hobby.

Idaho River Sports offers stand-up paddle board lessons on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for $25 per class, which includes boards and gear. Stand-up skills-and-drills classes are on Tuesdays and moving water nights are on Wednesdays. Call Idaho River Sports at 208-336-4844 to sign up.

If you're a woman and would like to learn how to kayak, Riverroots is offering a women's clinic on July 30-31. The cost is $75 and includes kayak, gear and lunch. Call Riverroots at 208-850-7637 to sign up.
