Boise State Women's Center Seeks Art Proposals

Posted By on Fri, Sep 16, 2011 at 11:32 AM

The Boise State Women's Center is an important resource for students and community members, and now the center needs help from another invaluable resource: Boise State art students and alumni.

Boise State is seeking proposals for two art installations, one to be placed in the Women's Center reception area and one in the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Questioning Intersex Alliance Lounge. The installations will be permanent, site-specific and visible to everyone entering the reception area and lounge.

Submissions are open to all Boise State students and alumni, and new or existing artwork is eligible. Artists may submit for both projects. Pieces must be in tune with the Women's Center goals of civic engagement and open discussion of gender and gender-related issues.

Interested in participating? A site tour and informational meeting will be held 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 16, in the Trueblood Room on the second floor in the Student Union Building.
