Need Something To Do Thursday?

Posted By on Thu, Sep 22, 2011 at 7:00 AM

Americans are fat. We don't even need to cite statistics anymore. It's just the way it is. Fat, fat, fat. We're portly, rotund, chubby, big-boned and more. And though there are pills and weird contraptions that claim they will help you thin your insulation, the truth is that there is one simple thing that will do it better than all that combined: change your diet.

Seems simple enough.

Except that it's hard. Eating habits are exactly that: habits. And sometimes you need a guide from fast food back to good food.

So today, why not get exactly that?

Swing by the Nampa Civic Center and get a primer on how to transition to whole foods from the Green Smoothie Girl, Robyn Openshaw. She'll teach people how to make delicious smoothies that will cut that belly down to size.

You can also pick up a signed copies of her books on how to eat healthier.

The event starts at 7 p.m. and is FREE.
