Homegrown Theater to Stage Eurydice in Boise

Posted By on Sat, Oct 8, 2011 at 2:12 PM

Homegrown Theater, the Boise theater company formerly known as Black Linen Productions, will be staging Erydice, Sarah Rulh's reboot of the Greek Orpheus myth, this week.

It retells the story in a modern context and from Eurydice's perspective as she is taken into the underworld shortly after her wedding to Orpheus, the god of music, who is then so stricken with grief that he stages a rescue mission. Chuck Norris style.

The play, starring Amela Karadza and directed by Janessa White, will run Oct. 11-13 at the Linen Building. Tickets are available at the door or in advance from brownpapertickets.com and students and $8 general admission.
