Boise State's Master of Fine Arts for Creative Writing reading series continues Friday, Oct. 21, with poet Jennifer Moxley in the Jordan A Ballroom of the Student Union Building.

Moxley will read from her latest thought-provoking collection of poems, Clampdown (2009), which was published by Flood Editions. The poems are richly worded and haunting, exploring Moxley's anxieties about a life of writing, and life in general.

Moxley is the author of several other books of poetry, including Imagination Verses (2003) and The Middle Room (2008), which focuses on her time spent at the University of California, San Diego. She is the poetry editor of The Baffler and is a professor of poetry at the University of Maine.

As always, the event is free and open to the public.
