Need Something To Do Friday?

Posted By on Fri, Nov 11, 2011 at 6:00 AM

Even if reading a book seems more daunting than reaching the summit of Mt. Everest, cooking a seven-course meal or visiting that great aunt who smells like moth balls, you should go to Rediscovered Bookshop tonight for a special reading.

The Idaho author trifecta of Anthony Doerr, Alan Heathcock and Mitch Wieland are the sprinkles on the cupcake of Boise literature. And though it doesn't specifically say cupcakes will be at the reading, "food and drink" are listed on the evening's agenda. Not to mention, the insights into each author's respective masterpiece will more than make up for any lack of pastry.

The literary genius powwow opens with Boise State MFA Program graduate Tyler McMahon, who will read from his book How the Mistakes Were Made at 6 p.m. Following a brief break, Doerr, Heathcock and Wieland will begin a panel discussion. The event is free, so channel your inner book nerd and head on down.
