Need Something To Do Tuesday?

Posted By on Tue, Dec 6, 2011 at 6:00 AM

Dinner theater is a fun idea—you can gobble up some grub while ingesting a healthy serving of culture. But while the term "dinner theater" might conjure up images of fillet mignon and decadent chocolate desserts, it's not always that high-falutin'.

Today, you can watch a play—well, technically 12 plays—while chowing down on slices of specialty pizza. The Boise State Theatre Arts Department will present its 10-Minute Play Showcase tonight at Cosmic Pizza at 7:30 p.m.

The plays are written by students and performed by other students and faculty members, so you can catch a glimpse of the next great stage phenomenon in its infancy while enjoying an outer-space-themed slice of pizza, like the Supernova Margherita. Each play is only 10 minutes long, so it's perfect for those who struggle to pay attention to a full-length production.

Check out Boise State's up-and-comers and satiate your hunger—hopefully the food and the entertainment will be out-of-this-world awesome.
