British Musician The PeteBox Explains his Album Concept

Posted By on Thu, Dec 8, 2011 at 11:13 AM

If you haven't heard THePETEBOX, you're missing out. His live-looped, beat box-and-guitar songs run the gamut from emotive to fist-pumping. He's arguably the Bobby McFerrin for the younger generation.

The only problem is that, until now, the availability of Mr. Box's music has primarily been limited to a series of live videos of him blasting through everything from indie rock covers to traditional Jewish songs.

And now, he's decided to parlay that into an album, Future Loops.

In a just-released video, THePETEBOX says he'll be releasing new high-quality audio videos to YouTube of him performing songs live. As each song is released to YouTube, the audio from that performance will be made available for download. Once he's released them all, a full album of the live tracks will be issued.

If you want a preview of exactly how badass it will likely be, check his haunting cover of The Pixies' "Where is My Mind."
