Idaho State Historical Society Looks for Notable Nominations

Posted By on Fri, Dec 9, 2011 at 11:06 AM

What really defines Idaho? Is it the rugged Owyhee Canyonlands? The stunning vistas of the Sawtooth Mountains? The pristine Middle Fork of the Salmon River? Maybe there's an event or even a person you think best exemplifies the Gem State? If so, the Idaho State Historical Society wants to know about it.

The ISHS is looking for nominations of the people, places, things and events that make Idaho stand apart for a special exhibit in honor of the sesquicentennial of the Idaho Territory in 2013.

Nominations must be turned in no later than Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012. Official nomination forms are available at the Idaho State Historical Museum, 610 N. Julia Davis Drive, or online by clicking here. For more information, call 208-334-2120.
