On Thursday, Dec. 16, more than 200 people crammed into The Shredder, screaming in glee and pain as Prestige Skate Shop debuted its new video, For The Birds.

The video featured dozens of local skateboarders performing trick sequences shot at a variety of locations around the Treasure Valley and beyond.

It's the fourth skate video Prestige has put together—the previous three were shot by videographers who have since moved to California. For this one, Prestige decided to give a shot to two young talents, Mack Schaarff and Blake Bulton, ages 17 and 23. Both were friends of Prestige team members and had already been shooting footage on their own, so it was an easy fit for Prestige owners Paul Whitworth and Greg Goulet.

Goulet said the next video is likely to be more web-focused, with shorter pieces put out over time to form a volume. But until then, For The Birds is available for sale at Prestige Skateboards and should be viewable online in early 2012.
