Need Something To Do Wednesday?

Being a teacher can be stressful. Elementary-school educators have to deal with boogers and "I miss my mommy" cries; middle-school instructors get to bask in the awkwardness of puberty on a daily basis; high-school teachers have to figure out how to deal with the I-already-know-everything-because-I'm-basically-an-adult mentality—not to mention newly licensed drivers in the school parking lot. Even college professors have their share of woes, with over-stressed seniors desperately vying for diplomas and party-hardy freshman. Add in the fact that teachers are responsible for shaping minds, and it's pretty clear that it takes a super-awesome individual to be an educator.

That's why the Reiki Energy Healing Center developed Reiki I For Teachers. The two-day workshop focuses on techniques to improve patience, energy levels and overall health. It includes the center's traditional Reiki I class, with added meditation and energy-balancing time. The first session starts at noon today, followed by the second class tomorrow, also at noon. The folks at Reiki EHC have even taken the incomes of educators into account—the workshop is $99 for both days.

Not an educator? No worries, they'll still let you in the door. The center also offers a variety of other Reiki classes—even some for animals and those in the care-giving industry. So if you want to try it out, there's probably a class for you.
