Need Something To Do Tuesday?

Posted By on Tue, Jan 3, 2012 at 6:00 AM

The word "buzz" has a variety of meanings—smutty celebrity gossip can be buzz-worthy; drink too much coffee and you'll be caffeine buzzing; or imbibe too much of an adult beverage and you'll get your buzz on. Oh yeah, and then there are those black-and-yellow insects that make a buzzing sound when they fly around.

Get back to the roots of the word and tackle any bee phobia you may have today with the Idaho Honey Bee beekeeping class at Elks Lodge. You can learn all about the different roles bees play in a hive and how to get started with your own cluster of insects. And bee-fore you know it, you could be putting super-fresh honey in your tea.

The class gets going at 7 p.m. and costs $15. You can sign up online and pay via credit card with Paypal.
