Need Something To Do Friday?

Posted By on Fri, Jan 20, 2012 at 6:00 AM

Sure, none of us here at BW were around during Prohibition, but we imagine it really, really sucked. How could you have a proper office potluck without a case of PBR? The sheer awfulness of outlawing alcohol is mind-boggling.

Tonight, you can take part in a Prohibition Day Speakeasy Party at Front Door Northwest Pizza and Tap House. The staff and bar will be decked out '20s-style, so put on some flapper headbands, fringe dresses and fedoras, and celebrate the fact that you don't live in the era of banned booze.

There will be suds from the aptly named 21st Amendment Brewery (the folks who brew beers with deliciously awesome names like Hell or High Watermelon Wheat and Back in Black IPA), along with food and drink specials all night. The fun starts at 5 p.m.
