Stewart Gallery Debuts Twenty Five

“I don’t know how you’ll make it,” a man told Stephanie Wilde, co-owner of Stewart Gallery at the Jan. 28 opening of Twenty Five.

Wilde said she hears this response frequently from new visitors, but shrugs it off. She and husband Lane Bune have been active in Boise’s art world for 25 years.

“Seven of those without a phone or a sign,” Wilde recalled.

Boise art lovers came and went during the grand opening of Twenty Five, a showcase of 25 pieces celebrating Stewart's 25th anniversary. The exhibit included both local and world-renowned artists, including Boise residents Kerry Moosman, Garth Claassen, Karen Woods and Troy Passey. Clients and friends walked the gallery space as they would their own kitchen at the intimate opening. Wilde and Bune mulled about, sharing stories from past concerts, lecture series and exhibits.

Though the space could've accommodated a larger crowd, it turned out to be a low-key event, most likely because the show will remain up until Sunday, March 25. As for opening day, there were multiple discussions overheard about high expectations once again being met.
