Need Something To Do Wednesday?

Posted By on Wed, Feb 8, 2012 at 6:00 AM

What is it about flips that humans find so intriguing? Children on trampolines love to attempt throwing their heels over their heads, cheerleaders flip and tumble so much, it's nauseating to watch, and athletes love to defy gravity on skis, snowboards, diving boards and even snowmobiles.

Heath Frisby knows all about flips. In January's Winter X Games, Frisby made history by completing the first successful front-flip on a snowmobile. While for most snowmobilers, the ultimate goal is to avoid collisions with trees, Frisby flipped and flew through the air with the greatest of ease. He earned the gold medal for Snowmobile Best Trick, his second in the category and seventh overall. You can check it out here.

Today, you can take a little jaunt out to Birds of Prey Motorsports in Caldwell and meet the sno-mo-master in person. Frisby will be in the store from 6:30-8 p.m. and give a free snowmobile riding seminar. Call the store at 208-453-2222 for more info and to register.
