This morning, NPR Music announced the deets of a showcase at this year's SXSW. And while the festival will definitely have lots of beer-swilling debauch-a-rama, in NPR's classic style, its showcase will be clean and distinguished.

On Wednesday, March 14, at Stubbs the official NPR Music showcase will feature performances by Andrew Bird, The Alabama Shakes, Dan Deacon, Sharon Van Etten and the much-hyped return of Fiona Apple.

The next day, NPR will host a day party at The Parish featuring performances from The Magnetic Fields, Lowers Dens, Polica, Sugar Tongue Slim and La Vida Boheme.

With the exception of Fiona Apple's set, everything will be broadcast live via NPR Music. NPR will also broadcast the conference's keynote speech from Bruce Springsteen at 1 p.m EST, Thursday, March 15.
