Treefort Music Fest has drawn folks from all over the United States and beyond to Boise for the weekend.

And Ale Fort has perhaps a more diverse crowd than you'll see at any specific Treefort show. Since you don’t need a festival wristband, just $25 for unlimited samples of local beer all weekend long, Ale Fort seems to pack in an array of music and beer fans.

According to Alex Crick with Seattle's KEXP 90.3 FM, who is in town for the festival, Boise is much friendlier than Seattle. He seemed shocked that when he asked someone for directions they actually helped him out.

"There is this thing called the 'Seattle Freeze,' where people don’t talk to anyone else," said Crick.

Hopefully this friendliness will inspire visiting bands and festival-goers to swing back through Boise in the future.
