Need Something To Do Monday?

In case you missed it, Boise hosted a big ol' music festival March 22-25. Treefort Music Fest showcased lots of local and out-of-town talent. And as it turns out, the music scene around here isn't the banjo-strumming, jug-blowing variety that people who have never visited the Gem State might think it is. There's some pretty good stuff happening in Boise music.

Tonight, you can see what's up with aspiring local musicians at an open mic night hosted by local songsters Rebecca Scott and Rob Hill. At 8 p.m., all varieties of local musicians can take to the Pengilly's Saloon stage and test their skills. It's FREE, and Pengilly's is one of those bars that manages a hip-yet-nostalgic vibe, so grab a beverage from the antique bar and have a seat with some friends. If you can't make it out tonight, Pengilly's hosts the open mic every Monday, same place and time.
