Need Something To Do Sunday?

Posted By on Sun, Apr 15, 2012 at 6:00 AM

It's tough to believe, but the ski/snowboard season is already ending. Yes, it got one heck of a late start—Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area's opening date was the latest in its history—which resulted in a bunch of snow dances and sad faces.

But the good news is that today you can partake in Bogus' bonus weekend. The Deer Point, Coach and Easy Rider lifts are all operating, so you can enjoy some late-season snow pack. Tickets are discounted, at $20 or $10 for Coach and Easy Rider Carpet only-passes. It's the perfect time to get in one last run and gear up for next season because Black Diamond Sports merchandise is 60 percent off.

But note that you will have to get yourself up the mountain—the handy-dandy bus service that's offered throughout the season is out of commission. The lifts are open from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., so enjoy a full day of wintery fun on the hill, then pack that gear away and enjoy the warm climes of springtime in the valley.
