Savor Idaho Almost Sold Out

Posted By on Tue, Jun 5, 2012 at 11:18 AM

Savor Idaho, a local wine and food celebration taking place Sunday, June 10, from 2-6 p.m., has almost sold out. The event stretches through the Idaho Botanical Garden with 27 wineries and 17 restaurants showing off their products, but with 855 tickets already sold, there are only 45 left.

“It’s a great place to try a lot of Idaho wine in one spot,” organizer Moya Shatz said.

Wineries attending include Ste. Chapelle, Snake River and Cellar No. 616. Bardenay, Dawson Taylor, Mai Thai, Zeppole and several other local restaurants will also have booths.

This year’s event will include live music from The Flavors, three seminars on different wines in the region and commemorative posters for sale.

“This local 17-year-old kid essentially painted this great piece of work and we printed off a bunch to sell for $15,” Shatz said. “So it’s just another great thing for the community.”

Shatz said the event should sell out in the next day or two. The remaining tickets cost $45 and are available online at savoridaho.org or at A New Vintage Wine Shop in Meridian.
