The options for summer concerts are endless, but Crispin Hellion Glover's Big Slide Show Part 1 and 2 has the potential to be a completely unique experience. Presented by Idaho Live, Evil Wine and Radio Boise, Crispin Hellion Glover will provide audiences with a two part show taking place Thursday, July 26, and Friday, July 27, at 8 p.m. at the Egyptian Theatre.

Each night will consist of an hour-long dramatic narration of eight different, heavily illustrated books. The images from the books will be projected on a screen behind Glover, and a screening of It is Fine! EVERYTHING IS FINE! will follow on July 26, and a screening of What Is It? on July 27. After the screening, Glover will entertain the audience with a Q&A session and book signing. Glover has stated he will stay until every guest has had the opportunity to meet with him.

Tickets for both shows go on sale Saturday, June 16, at 10 a.m., and the first 150 tickets sold will be granted priority VIP seating on the main floor section at the Egyptian Theatre. Tickets are available for $20 at the Record Exchange or the Egyptian Theatre. No one under 18 will be admitted without an adult.

Also gracing the Egyptian Theatre this summer is Gillian Welch and her musical partner, guitarist David Rawlings. The duo's sound is a hodgepodge of bluegrass, Americana and country, infused with jazz, gospel, rhythm and blues and punk. Two of Welch's tracks were featured on the Grammy Award-winning album from the film O Brother, Where Art Thou?

Tickets for the show on Friday, Aug. 3, go on sale Friday, June 15, at 10 a.m. for $32.50 in advance and $35.50 the day of the show. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at the Egyptian Theatre, at or by calling 208-442-3232. Special pre-sale offers are available on the official Facebook event page.

Finally, tickets for Journey and Loverboy with another special guest are set to go on sale Friday, June 15, at 10 a.m. As any die-hard Journey fan knows, the band has had to shuffle its lineup and lead singer Steve Perry was replaced by the band's current lead vocalist, Arnel Pineda.

Although, there will always be hold-outs remaining true to Perry, many would argue the two's voices are nearly indistinguishable. In a 2009 review of the band's show at the Taco Bell arena, Pineda was heralded for his high energy and clear, strong voice. When the band takes the stage at the Idaho Center on Saturday, Aug. 4, fans will be caught up in the powerful sounds of a band that has never failed to remind us: "Don't Stop Believing."

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available through all ICTicket outlets or by calling 208-442-3232. Tickets range in price from $49.50 to $99.50, plus fees.
