Need Something To Do Wednesday?

Posted By on Wed, Jun 27, 2012 at 6:00 AM

Did summer sneak up on you—no flip-flops in the closet, no inner tube for floating the river and a garden that is still a big patch of dirt?

Well, today you can at least get the garden part taken care of. The Foothills Learning Center will present Gardening with Native Plants, part of its Sunset Series. Get inspired as Elisa Clark from Flutterby Gardens/North End Organic Nursery walks around the Learning Center's native plant garden and provides helpful tips on how to translate what you see into a successful gardenscape at your home.

The talk begins at 7 p.m. and will continue until about 8:30 p.m. All ages are welcome, with activities to keep children occupied while you mentally plot out your new garden. And this green event won't cost you any green—it's FREE.

The Sunset Series continues Wednesday, July 11, with Make a Good Impression, featuring printmaker Amy Nack from Wingtip Press. For more on the series and the Learning Center's events, click here.
