Need Something To Do Tuesday?

Posted By on Tue, Jul 3, 2012 at 6:00 AM

A single George Washington won't get you much in the way of entertainment—you can't even get a pack of glow sticks at the dollar store without a few extra pennies. But tonight, you can bring your crispest $1 bill to the Red Room and get a night full of music in return.

Four bands will take the stage at the crimson-walled bar as part of the Atypical Tuesday series. Grandma Kelsey will bring her brand of enchanting bluesy folk to the stage. The Boise songstress is currently raising funds for 30-plus city tour across the United States. Read more about Grandma Kelsey and catch a glimpse of her December 2011 performance at Tom Grainey's basement here.

Also taking the stage tonight will be "gypsy/folk/insanity" act Dear Rabbit, Nampa indie rock/electro-pop act With Child and Bonefish Sam and His Orchestra.

Red Room will also feature drinks on the cheap, with $2 wells and canned beers. The show gets going at 7:30 p.m., and though admission is technically $1 at the door, you can support Boise's music scene with a larger donation. All proceeds go to the performing bands.
