The closest thing to Tuscany around these parts may be a glass of super Tuscan vino or a nice Italian meal. But today, Tuscany is only two hours away. By car.

Treasure Valley residents looking for a bit of Italian fun can head to Ketchum for Boulder Mountain Clayworks' Tuscany on 10th fund-raising benefit. From 5:30-8:30 p.m., attendees can enjoy complimentary wine and artisan pizza from the Red Oven, glaze and fire a pot during Raku firing, bid on some silent auction items and maybe score a stellar raffle prize. Don't see anything that fits quite right with your home decor? During the build and bid, you can build on potters' new creations, then select your own glaze.

So, say ciao to Boise for an evening and purchase an event ticket for $50. Proceeds benefit Boulder Mountain Clayworks, a nonprofit ceramics studio that works to "encourage artistic growth and development in the community" by providing free public events, instruction in clay arts and a space for clay artists to get creative.
