Taking the fam on a trip to Rio de Janeiro would probably cost a pretty penny—regardless of the deal you found on Groupon Getaways. But today, you can bring everyone to see Rio for FREE.

The 2011 animated flick Rio, about a macaw residing in Minnesota who journeys to Rio de Janeiro on a grand adventure, will be shown tonight in Settlers Park in Meridian, located at 3245 N. Meridian Road.

The CableOne Movie Night in Meridian series features a different family friendly flick every Friday through Aug. 31.

Blankets, chairs and the like are encouraged and movies are shown on a big inflatable screen starting at dusk. For a list of flicks and dates, click here.
