Need Something To Do Tuesday?

Posted By on Tue, Aug 7, 2012 at 6:00 AM

Are you missing a few buttons on your favorite shirt, but are afraid that attempting to remedy the situation would only result in pricked fingers and frustration? Don't toss it in the trash, head over to the Bluebird Quilt Studio at 1309 Second St. S., in Nampa.

The studio is kicking off a new installment of its Basic Sewing Skills course, put on through Nampa Parks and Recreation. This four-week class will not only teach you the basics, but also how to put in a zipper, select fabric and read a pattern. You'll learn how to use a sewing machine, and complete three projects, all for $50. The class fee includes use of machines and sewing tools.

Sessions are held from 1-3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays through Aug. 28. For more info and to register, click here.
