Need Something To Do Friday?

Posted By on Fri, Aug 10, 2012 at 6:00 AM

It's the second Friday of the month, and if you're up on the where-to-be-seen scene, you know that means one thing—a food truck frenzy.

The monthly Food Truck Rally will go down today at the North End Organic Nursery, 2350 Hill Road. Previous rallies have been so highly attended that organizers have decided more hours are needed for people to get their fill of foods slung from mobile kitchens. Instead of the usual 5-9 p.m. window, you now have from 4-10 p.m. to gorge on cupcakes, soul food, sloppy joes and much more.

Ride your bike and not only will you work up more of an appetite, but you'll receive $1 off your first beer from Payette Brewing Company or wine from Cinder Wines. Hill Road, where NEON is located, is a no-parking zone. The lower lot of NEON will have bike parking.

Trucks scheduled to appear include Boise Fry Company, A Cupcake Paradise, Archie's Place, Brown Shuga Soul Food, Pomme de Terre, Riceworks, St. Lawrence Gridiron and Tiki's Shave Ice.
