Need Something To Do Wednesday?

Posted By on Wed, Aug 29, 2012 at 6:00 AM

With the hot weather outside, the only ice that Boiseans have been contemplating this summer may have had to do with the cubes found in cocktails. But today, you can contemplate ice in a different way and entertain the kiddos for FREE.

Idaho IceWorld will host its Try Hockey for Free clinic today. Children ages 5-13 can take to the ice and give the sport a whirl with complimentary gear, including skates, sticks, gloves and helmets.

Off-ice instructions on things like skating, puck handling and shooting will take place from 5:30-6:15 p.m. Participants will take to the rink from 6:15-7:15 p.m. and get a feel for what a game would be like.

The session is FREE, but call 208-331-0044 to reserve a space. The clinic is open to boys and girls. Can't make it this time? Visit Idaho IceWorld's website for more info about upcoming programs, including FREE clinics.
