Need Something To Do Monday?

Posted By on Mon, Sep 10, 2012 at 6:00 AM

Did that embarrassing robot/worm attempt at your senior prom leave you jaded, unwilling to release your inner dancer for fear of another epic flop? Head to the Eagle Performing Arts Academy tonight and make that shame-scar go away.

The Thistle and Ghillies Scottish Country Dancers will give a lesson in their dance style at 7:15 p.m. at 1125 E. State St. in Eagle. And for $5, you can learn some sweet new moves.

What is Scottish country dancing? According to Thistle and Ghillies' website, it's a cross between square/contra dancing without anyone calling out the steps and ballet. Dances are performed with at least one other partner and formations are made. Partners aren't required for tonight's session, so don't be afraid to go stag.
