Boise Hip-Hop Artist Customary Drops New Album, Video

Posted By on Tue, Oct 9, 2012 at 3:32 PM

Boise hip-hop artist Customary recently dropped a video to plug his new album, Cold Drink on a Hot Day. And thanks to some snazzy camera work from Ronn Seidenglanz at Sidewayz Films and a catchy doo wop-inspired hook, it is the bee's knees.

It features Customary and pals dressed like extras in Back to the Future and seeking a record deal for their jams from a Suge Knight-type on a fire escape balcony. Juliet he ain't, but connected he is. Next thing you know, the band is off on a whirlwind tour of Hollywood and the Rockies Diner on Overland Road. Ah, the good ol' days.

The high production values easily make it one of the best local music videos put out this year.

You may remember Customary's last release from BW's 12 Days of Christmas Music That Isn't Awful column. His new album can be downloaded for FREE via his website customaryhiphop.com.
