Need Something To Do Tuesday?

Posted By on Tue, Oct 9, 2012 at 6:00 AM

The onset of chilly fall weather has many a Boisean rehearsing his or her snow dance. While the first flakes probably won't fall for a while, snow sport enthusiasts can journey to the Idaho State Historical Museum today to satiate their winter weather cravings.

Author Eve Chandler will speak about her new book, Brundage Mountain: Best Snow in Idaho, as part of ISHM's Brown Bag Lecture Series today from noon-1 p.m.

The book is an examination of the importance of winter sports in McCall and how they've been a key aspect of the mountain town's history for decades. Chandler, who also wrote Building Bogus Basin, will give a speech entitled Stories of Brundage Mountain: Past and Future. The author will sign copies of her book following the lecture. Regular museum admission fees of $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $3 for students and ages 6-12 apply. The lecture is FREE for those younger than 6, ISHM members and Friends of the Museum.
