Need Something To Do Thursday?

Posted By on Thu, Oct 11, 2012 at 6:00 AM

Today provides three perfect opportunities to be a voyeur. Not in a creepy, watching-you-through-a-keyhole way, but because there are plenty of entertaining things to gawk at.

You can get your political engagement on at Payette Brewing Company in Garden City, where you can watch vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan take on current Vice President Joe Biden in a verbal cage match. The barley pop purveyor will screen the debate via projector on its super-tall wall in the gaming area. The debate begins at 9 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, which translates to 7 p.m. MDT.

Politics too scary for you? Then head to the Egyptian Theatre at 7 p.m. and relax with a screening of Psycho, the 52-year-old Alfred Hitchcock flick. Beer and wine will be available for those of legal imbibing age. Tickets are $9 in advance at, or $11 at the door.

And if you're feeling rather artsy, head to the Powerhouse Events Center for the latest installment of the monthly RAW Artists shindig. This month's theme is Provocations, and will feature a smattering of photographers, performing artists, hairstylists, fashion peeps and more. It kicks off at 7 p.m. and lasts until 2 a.m. Cocktail attire is requested and you must be 18 or older to attend. Tickets are $10 online or $15 at the door.
