A staple of Chinese entertainment has long been the "red drama," ultra-patriotric narratives about how great the government is. But the youth in Asia are now calling for the euthanasia of communist TV.

Young Chinese raised on game shows and Western sitcoms on the Internet are becoming bored with the format, meaning advertisers are jumping ship from the programs as well. Why advertise on a show no one watches?
