Boise's Holiday Tree is Up

Posted By on Tue, Nov 13, 2012 at 12:15 PM

Boises holiday tree is up, if not lit.

It's official, it's the holiday season—well, it's nearly official, at least.

Work crews have put up the City of Boise holiday tree in Grove Plaza and are busy stringing lights across downtown. The tree itself will be lit on Saturday, Nov. 24, at the annual Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration.

The event will run from 5-7 p.m.. and include live music, caroling and a candle lighting. Those who turn out can purchase food and beverages while Boise Mayor Dave Bieter officially lights the tree, which will stay up through the holiday season.

You can get more info on all the events happening downtown in the Christmas in the City guide that will be inserted in the Wednesday, Nov. 14, edition of Boise Weekly.
