Need Something To Do Sunday?

Posted By on Sun, Nov 18, 2012 at 6:00 AM

Reality television got off to a rocky start. Big Brother and Survivor capitalized on the glee we take in watching people scramble like rats for cash and prizes. That rocky start gave way to the food porn of reality cooking television shows.

Reality cooking shows combine the universal appeal of food with the market-tested appeal of perpetual infighting and greed. Some of these shows are actually good. Trying his best is the host of Dinner: Impossible—the musclebound Robert Irvine, who will present his mad cooking skills to an audience at Revolution Concert House and Event Center at 7 p.m.

Irvine is a high-energy performer onstage, and his antics, witticisms and expertise make for an entertaining and informative culinary experience. Tickets are $35-$150, and can be found here.
