Two more Boise bands are getting ready to drop new recordings: Hummingbird of Death and Sun Blood Stories.

The new Sun Blood Stories EP will feature guitar-slinger Ben Kirby's expanded trio lineup. The band has yet to finalize the details of the release, but the new EP should drop sometime in January. Kirby sent along "Burn it Down," an advance track from the album, and it's pretty smoking. Check it out below.

A little more concrete is Skullvalanche, the new LP from one of Boise's loudest acts, Hummingbird of Death. The band said on its website that the recording is a departure from its previous material, but to this hombre, the band remains as loud, fast and gnarly as ever.

Skullvalance was made available for download online and is currently streaming, but the band will be releasing a vinyl version of the record at a show Friday, Dec. 28, at Ash-Hole Studios. However, as that is a house show, we aren't gonna tell you where it is. You're going to have to ask your friend Google where you can go listen in Boise, hint hint.
