Comedy Central funnyman Stephen Colbert regularly hosts celebs and musicians, including Jack White, Pete Seeger and Norah Jones.

Tonight's Colbert Report is no different, pulling together Sean Lennon, Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy, and Mavis Staples, as part of the show's Christmas Carol Week.

The group will perform John Lennon and Yoko Ono's collab with the Harlem Community Choir, "Happy Xmas (War is Over)."

According to Anti-Records, Tweedy and Staples are back in the studio working on Staples' upcoming 2013 release. Tweedy previously produced Staples' 2010 release, You Are Not Alone, which won a Grammy Award for Best Americana Album.

Check out a video of the original song "Happy Xmas (War is Over)" below.
