You can think of today's announcement as something akin to Earl Grey tea compared to tomorrow's champagne toast.

In advance of the announcement Thursday, Jan. 10, that will unveil this year's Academy Award nominees, the United Kingdom's version of Oscars—the BAFTA awards—were revealed across the pond this morning.

The 2013 British Academy Film Awards will be presented on Sunday, Feb. 10, two weeks before the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences hands out its much-coveted statuettes.

Lincoln garnered 10 BAFTA nominations this morning, followed by Les Miserables and Life of Pi, each grabbing nine nominations.

BAFTA Best Picture nominees are: Argo, Les Miserables, Life of Pi, Lincoln and Zero Dark Thirty

BAFTA Best Actor nominees are: Ben Affleck (Argo), Bradley Cooper (Silver Linings Playbook), Daniel Day-Lewis (Lincoln), Hugh Jackman (Les Miserables) and Joaquin Phoenix (The Master).

BAFTA Best Actress nominees are: Emmanuelle Riva (Amour), Helen Mirren (Hitchcock), Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook), Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) and Marion Cotillard (Rust and Bone).

BAFTA Best Supporting Actor nominees are: Alan Arkin (Argo), Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained), Javier Bardem (Skyfall), Philip Seymour Hoffman (The Master) and Tommy Lee Jones (Lincoln).

BAFTA Best Supporting Actress nominees are: Amy Adams (The Master), Anne Hathaway (Les Miserables), Helen Hunt (The Sessions), Judi Dench (Skyfall) and Sally Field (Lincoln).

Look for many of these same names in tomorrow's Oscar nominations.
