Need Something To Do Thursday?

A growing number of people are interested in farm-fresh foods. It isn't enough that food looks good on a grocery shelf, there should be some assurances that it comes from a reliable source.

That's how Atina Diffley sees things. From 1973 to 2008, she and her husband managed Gardens of Eagan, one of the Midwest's first certified organic farms.

Today, Diffley will read from her book, part memoir and part how-to, entitled Turn Here Sweet Corn, at 6 p.m. at Rediscovered Books. Admission is free, so if you're a nut for organic foods and want to know more about the industry, this reading for you.
