Need Something To Do Monday?

Posted By on Mon, Mar 11, 2013 at 6:00 AM

Big-name Broadway hits take longer to reach the Gem State than audiences in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, making it hard to stay on top of recent developments in theater.

Boise Contemporary Theater is trying to remedy this with its 5x5 Reading Series, which presents new stage works read by BCT actors.

The latest installment of the series is Cherrywood: A Modern Comparable, a play by Kirk Lynn is about a world divided between fear and ecstasy—where benders fill the gaps between Orange Alerts.

The reading takes place today starting at 7 p.m. and tickets are $10-$12.
