Need Something To Do Wednesday?

Posted By on Wed, Mar 20, 2013 at 6:00 AM

Girl meets boy. Boy turns girl off with his snobbish, classist ways. Boy and girl make up after circumstances reveal their mutual respect and love for one another. In a nutshell, that's Jane Austen's novel Pride and Prejudice. While Austen's early 19th century prose can be borderline impenetrable, filmmakers have rushed to make her timeless stories more accessible to modern audiences through the power of cinema.

The 2005 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, starring Kiera Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet and Matthew McFayden as Mr. Darcy, plays at the Boise Public Library at Collister starting at 6:30 p.m. Typically taboo at a library, light snacks will be permitted at this event.
