If you've had your fill of fried food and carnival rides at the Western Idaho Fair, head over to the Sun Valley Shakespeare Festival in Ketchum for a slightly more artistic form of entertainment.

This season's featured performance is The Tempest, directed by Freddie Ramsay. If you go, go in high spirits. As a wise man once said: "Misery acquaints a man with strange bedfellows."

6 p.m. $20 (children 12 and under are free). Forest Service Park, First and Washington streets, Ketchum, 208-726-4857, nexstagetheater.org.
