There's a new zine in town. Sort of.

The Collective, a literary and culture magazine that debuted in September, is throwing a release party for its November edition at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at The Crux.

The party will feature music by DJ Bobatabot and a costume contest, with the winner receiving a copy of the November edition of The Collective.

The brainchild of Hailey-based editor Izze Rumpp, The Collective, uh, collects photos, illustrations and words for e- and print publication on a monthly basis.

Rumpp accepts submissions at izzerumpp@gmail.com, and must include an artist statement, a statement of creative focus, the publishable work itself and visual aid, a quote or mantra to accompany work and contact information.
