Fiction 101: One Week Left

Posted By on Wed, Oct 30, 2013 at 9:30 AM

OK, all you procrastinating writers, it's time to get going.

All entries for the annual BW Fiction 101 contest are due in our office no later than 5 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6. That's right, you have one week to pen that award-winning story.

Here are the details: All stories must be exactly 101 words long as determined by MS Word (not counting the title.) No poetry, please. The author's name, address, phone number and email address must be printed on the back of each entry. Authors can submit as many stories as he or she would like, but each one must come with $10 per entry—money is used to come up with cash prizes for the winners.

Entries can either be dropped off in person at BWHQ or mailed to 523 Broad St., Boise, ID, 83702—just please don't send cash in the mail.

Winning entries will be published in the Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, edition of Boise Weekly and winning authors will be honored at a special reading at Rediscovered Books on First Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014.
