Need Something To Do Sunday?

Posted By on Sun, Nov 3, 2013 at 7:00 AM

The piano is an elegant and powerful instrument. It finds a home in classical and contemporary music in every genre. Many a child has attempted to learn it (perhaps at the prodding of their parents) but few move on to make beautiful music.

At Stars of Steinway you can listen to expert pianist Dr. Jeffrey Shumway perform Beethoven, Chopin and Ravel on the nine-foot Steinway. Featuring video on a big-screen for ivory-tickling money shots and a post-concert reception. If you quit your lessons, you can live vicariously through Dr. Shumway's performance.

4 p.m. FREE. Dunkley Music, 410 S. Capitol Blvd., Boise, 208-342-5549, starsofsteinway.com.
