Need Something To Do Monday?

Posted By on Mon, Nov 4, 2013 at 8:00 AM

Samuel Langhorne Clemens, aka Mark Twain, is an icon of American literature—and not a little bit of a hunk. When he wasn't working as an intrepid reporter, piloting riverboats and trying his hand at mining, he was writing works of soon-to-be classic fiction like The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

The Boise Public Library gives you the opportunity to hear from the man himself (played by naturalist John Heimer) and listen to stories about his youth and how he connects to the Boise River. Remember—if you tell the truth, you don't need a good memory.

7 p.m., FREE, Boise Public Library, 715. S. Capitol Blvd., 208-562-4018,
